Your parish priest
My name is Rev. Brown, a priest of the Open Episcopal Church and a family man living and ministering in Surrey and Greater London. My mission is not to influence how you think or what you believe – it is to be there with you when you come to those conclusions yourself. It is to be there when there are no simple answers.
A priest and a celebrant are often thought of as two different callings. I see them as two doors into the same place. Some people want, and are familiar and comfortable with, the ancient words of the Church; others want none at all, instead choosing to mark a moment their own way. Whatever the choice, the same care, dignity and time is given. This is not a delicate or difficult line to walk, because the moments that anchor us to this life – a marriage, a birth, a farewell – belong to all of humankind, not only to those who share in my faith or any other.
Whatever you believe, and whatever you carry, you can set it down here. I will keep it safe, keep it quiet, and keep faith with you for as long as you need.
